The concept of OverLay was created in November 2005 by Designer Sana Ali. Sana is a graduate of The American Intercontinental University in Atlanta, Georgia, where she received an Associates degree in Interior design. She has been involved in the many aspects of the fashion industry for many years. From magazine modeling to runways to personally designing for individuals, Sana has experienced what it takes to make women feel unique and beautiful. Sana had a vision of a place women who had cultural, ethnic, religious or fashionable ties to wraps and scarves could find any and every possible scarf style available.
